End of the World Train
The journey begins at the End of the World Station, 8 kilometers from the city, and takes approximately one hour to reach the final station located near the entrance to the National Park. If you book a tour in advance, the guides will be waiting for you there to take you on a tour of the park; otherwise, you return to the main station on the little train.
Navigation to the penguin colony
About 90 kilometers from Ushuaia lies Isla Martillo, better known as "the penguin colony," the only penguin colony in Tierra del Fuego. Between October and April, it's possible to spot two penguin species that come to spend their breeding season on this island in the Beagle Channel: the Magellanic penguin and, in smaller numbers, the Gentoo penguin.
